I just can't make up my mind with this layout. Obviously I wasn't content with it. That's why BABR has remained the same for such a nice period of time. Ah well. We're going for the ultimate chick rock color combination. RAWK!!1!!!1!1 \m/

Conisidentally, the same color combination as Weezer's current layout. Ho hum...

I was a bit early with June's album of the month, but I finally bought Beck's new album, Guero, and it's awesome. Sea Change had me scared that he was never going to come back with his old, funky sound, but Guero proved me wrong. It's got its upbeat, shake-your-booty tunes as well as a few melancholy ones. Not as melancholy as Sea Change though. In any case, it's great. But putting it on reminded me of the good CDs I've been listening to recently that haven't got too much recognition.

Here are a few:

The Libertines
The Libertines

Weezer
Maladroit

Presidents of the United
States of America
II

Hm. There are probably more, but those are the ones that I can think of at the moment. I give my thanks to these albums, even though they aren't in my semi-official listing. I take this too seriously. Dork. Dork. Dork.

As far as my life goes, I'm getting all antsy about leaving ASIJ. If I want to go into arts, it's a bit of a waste to leave this school. Their art program is nonpareil and the teachers are great. There's the scale measuring possible schools, ASIJ against Logan High, leaning towards ASIJ, but that's rebalanced by the family spectrum, Mom's family against Mom and Dad. This is kind of unrealistic, but I have this fantasy that my dad could teach a semester long, elective, marine biology or bio-chemistry class for the next two years. Golly... Not only have my teachers been saying "oh man, it's a shame you're leaving, etc., etc.", but my shamisen teacher kept asking me "when are you coming back from America?" When I responded "winter... maybe next summer," he was shocked. "That long?!" And then he went on to say that all of his best students end up leaving him, which, needless to say, made me feel a bit guilty. Bottom line: I DON'T KNOW!!!! *cries*

I'll sleep on it. Sleep in, actually. IT'S THE FECKIN' WEEKEND!!!!

EDIT: I forgot the entire reason I made this post. Checkeet out!!

That's 1/4th of my face, in front of a bridge where Monica so magically found a Banksy signature. We touched it, were all dorky and got in the way, hanging halfway off of this pedestrian bridge to take a picture with out cellphones (which explains the bad quality.) Dorks. Dorks. Dorks.

DOUBLE EDIT: Anybody interested in going to see Coldplay in Pittsburg on August 11th? Who knows if I can, even, but it's a thought to be entertained. Tickets go on sale on June 4th, so if anyone's really, truly interested, let me know.
