Weeeell, we just finished making a powerpoint in Japanese class and I am left with nothing to do and freedom to explore the internet. Which brings me... here.
I'm in a bad mood.
I'll explain why.
In AP Art, we have been working on silkscreen prints of traditional japanese objects. I made one of the instrument I'm learning to play, the tsugaru-shamisen. There are four layers in all and the first three really didn't end up too wonderful, so I hoped that the fourth would pull it together. It didn't. My teacher suggested that I completely changed my subject.
This wouldn't normally be a problem, but the deadline is still next Wednesday.
Since today is the end of the quarter, we get a day off on Monday. I will probably have to come in during the day and do a lot of work, wait for it to dry, do some more work, and then finish it off during my free period on Tuesday.
I am unhappy with the prospect of losing my extended weekend. I am tired. And miffed.
Oh yes, and I also have to finish our previous project this weekend.
Any ideas for traditional Japanese things that would make a bold, simple, high contrast desgin?
