The day of salvation is upon us! Ironically, it's probably the most satanic day in the former and coming century. My personal salvation, however, is from my junior year of high school. I finished my last exam this morning and celebrated by doing nothing in particular. Mo and I borrowed Scotland, PA from Mrs. Gotterson and watched it in an unused room. In the remaining hours until the busses left, we waltzed over to the park next to the school and played on the incredible equiptment. They have everything: zip lines, obstacle courses, giant slides, tunnels, etc. And then I went home. A very low key end to a fairly intense academic year.
So now that I have no school-related obligations, I have taken up the knitting needles again and taken time to stop and pet the kitties. On my way home this afternoon, I ran into my favorite church cat, Miew-chan, and pet her for about fifteen minutes. After I realized that I needed to get home, I stopped petting her, which to most cats is hint enough. I had to remove my legs from under her and she finally moved when I started to stand up... at which point she rolled over on her back and waited for me to rub her belly. Aww. Too cute.
Countdown commences! Six days until I head home. I am so very excited. I want to do a dance, but it will not be worthwhile as none of you can see it. I will do a mental dance and you can all imagine what kind of moves I showed off. Shamo!!
Damn it. My fingertips are numb because of my sudden knitting. Ah! Speaking of body parts that will never be the same due to stupid choices I made in the past, I went to daytime karaoke on Friday and, after an hour, my voice was already starting to fail. I believe that since my voice-loss episode last year, my chords have never fully recovered. After that, I've had a constant mucus throat. It may have something to do with the air quality in the city, but I am nevertheless concerned. In any case, before six o'clock on weekdays, you can do two hours of karaoke for two-hundred yen, so we're going again tomorrow. We is Mo, Hinae-nae and I. Hinae-nae is a girl we befriended in our second semester English class. We're going to propose that she goes by Noriko from now on so we can refer to ourselves as Say No Mo. Ho ho. That was my bad idea. I apologize.
Ouf. I think I'm going to put myself to bed early tonight, just because I can. Life is good when vacations come along.
