Joe, Patty, and I left campus Friday evening in time to catch our 7 PM train to Cleveland. It was a cold, dark night-train. By the time we arrived (5 AM), northeastern Ohio was blanketed in snow and the storm didn't seem to want to stop. In the morning, we braved the slippery roads for brunch at Chipotle, which wasn't as spectacular as Joe made me expect it to be. Sunday, we celebrated Easter two weeks early by having a candy-egg hunt and decorating hard-boiled eggs. Mia came into Cleveland to pick me up and we journeyed to Ober-Land.
Since she had jujitsu and I was still exhausted from the night train, I stayed in her room and ended up doing some therapeutic cleaning. (My room never gets into a state that needs special attention. Being clean can be stressful.) We made a delicious dinner. During the week, we went to classes, ate at the co-op, watched Life in Cold Blood and some Kenny vs. Spenny, and hung out with her pals. We went to Shake and Steak in the middle of the night, watched There Will Be Blood for $2, and ate pizza for brunch. It was really relaxing and a lot of fun.
On Saturday evening, Mia helped cook a special space meal in the co-op, which ended up being, in my opinion, a bit of a disaster. Afterward, we drove to Cleveland, watched the American Funny Games with her jujitsu instructor, got lost in Cleveland Heights, got lost in Lakewood, and finally made it to Joe's house. I went to sleep, saddened by the prospect of coming back to school. We caught the train at 7 AM and had a stinky, uneventful ride back to school. I have been downtrodden for the last few days, mainly because of the Hormonal Menace but also because I had such a good time with my favorite sister and miss her very much.
This evening, I worked an extra twenty minutes making reuben sandwiches. I have to read a book and then write a paper about it by Friday. I also have a midterm on Thursday. This week is very busy. That is all.
