Monday, October 30

Ah! No!! I'm being a bad poster! I apologize for leaving you hanging for so long.

Today is Monday, October thirtieth and I have no school. Hurrah for the end of the quarter!

Halloween is approaching, so with that in mind, Monica and I went to Florence's house last night and had a SPOOK FEST, which was actually more silly than it was spooky. We met up with Flo-flo early in the afternoon, hung out around town for a while and then went to her abode to start watching movies. First we watched the Little Mermaid, to get us in the mood. We followed the Disney magic with the Exorcist ("Lick me, lick me!!"), which was delightful. I remembered running down the infamous stairs when I visited Georgetown with Leslie and Co. without having seen the movie or knowing what the hell everyone was excited about. We then watched Nightmare on Elm St. (Depp devoured by a bed!), ate dinner, watched Hellraiser V (mistaken for the original. Poop.) and, as a grand finale, we watched Beauty and the Beast. Sing-a-long movies are awesome!

Yay! With the help of the internet, my Rubik's cube has been completed for the first time in a few years. I love my Rubik's cube and hope that playing with it more will make the mechanism a little looser. It's still very sticky.

So... ummm... the layout. I was getting desperate. This is just to keep you temporarily from making cynical comments about bracing yourself and what not... Mia.

As a very easy halloween costume, Mo, Flo and I are planning on dressing like a few of our teachers. Ms. Thomas has a distinctive apron with stuff pinned all over it and cute little pig tails. Mr. Chambers wears suspenders and ties. Mr. Welckle buttons his shirts up to the very top. I think I'm taking the last one, so it should be pretty easy once I find an appropriate shirt. I think he does it with polo shirts too. Right-o. Costume done. Lazy, but unique!

Ah, got to get ready to do other stuff. I don't think there's anything more that happened this week... hmmm... Ah! I gave a troublesome kid on my bus a report for flashing his underwear at everyone. It was one of his lesser offenses so far, but surprisingly, he didn't protest too much. "But I got one last year!!" "Look, Christopher. All you have to do is tell Ms. Witt why you did it and then apologize." "Oh... okay." I suppose they only make a big deal of it if I do.

Catching up on Wait Wait is a lot of fun. "Our website is npr.org/waitwait, where you can find our Page-A-Day calender... and no, that's not a Mark Foley joke." Ho ho ho.

MUH-MUH-MUH-MUH-MORE TO COME! Eventually.
