Hello, good people! I'm back in school after my relaxing yet slightly productive spring vacation. I set aside the time in an attempt to catch up with reading and studying for AP US History, but nothing of the sort was accomplished.
Instead, I did lots of cleaning, dug up some bamboo babies (takenoko), went out in public with a kimono on, looked at cherry blossoms, attended my second to last kimono-wearing lesson, and started watching Trailer Park Boys.
Ponta, my aunt's dog, was gone for the first half of the break, came back, and left the next day with a fever and loose bowels. (Mmmm...) It was very quiet.
Yesterday, Romi-chan came back. She has been my grandmother's house-keeper-plus and was gone for about two months on grand-maternity leave... although it was sort of like a maternity-leave to care for her stressed out, child-bearing daughter.
This entry is awfully choppy and displeasing. Oh well. I will post pictures of cherry blossoms once I get home.
I bought a zip-up hoodie! I've been looking for a nice one for a while and finally found one. First, I looked at the womens' selection, but they were really, really short. The perfect match was the XS mens hoodie. Delightful!
I'm tired. This morning, I was woken up by cats in heat. I didn't have anything to throw at them, so, in my sleep-deprived daze, I clapped my hands and probably pissed off more people than the cats did. Maybe not.
EDIT: PICTURES! Sakura one, two, three, four, and a crappy picture of my first tsugaru-shamisen recital. Wahee!
DOUBLE EDIT: For those of you who haven't heard tsugaru-shamisen or just want to hear me playing for shits and giggles, here's a recording of me playing the tsugaru-shamisen medley. It's kind of mediocre and I could give you a number of excuses as to why... but I won't. Click me, fer christ's sake!!
