After Monday's crash, I had a day of very slow brain activity, followed by a steady rise in mood and mental clarity. I'm not sure how much of the low was caffeine and how much of it was hormones, but the three papers that I thought would destroy my week did no such thing. I did botch an informal presentation in English class but that's because priority went to an essay. It was a little sad but we live on.
This weekend is parents' weekend, so a lot of our group was stolen away for a nice dinner on Friday night. Sarah is house and teen-sitting at her uncle's house nearby, so Tess, Tyler and I joined her for an evening of movies and messing around with their collection of instruments. She stayed on to make sure her fifteen year old cousin doesn't get into trouble and the three of us drove back to campus. Tess and I ended up in the SPA with a large group of the usual suspects but people were tired and there was nothing going on. We split into mini groups–I went to Liz's room with John–and hung out, wondering where all the fun was taking place. Eventually, it was time to retire.
And now it's time for me to go to work for three hours. Yippee!
Aunt C and Grandma P are arriving this evening. We're going to the Celebration Weekend dance performance. Everything else will be played by ear.
