Monday, February 18

This weekend, Hillary was out of town and after our beautiful first weekend together, staying in the room and enjoying each others' company, I was shocked to have to go somewhere for company. On Friday night, I was feeling rather bloated and cramped and napped until Liz called me, asking to come over. We talked for a while, then decided to join the rest of the crew in Kevin's room for a bit. From there, I was suckered into going to the Anti-Valentine's Dance, which I attended in my nap clothes: sweatpants and a baggy black t-shirt. (The boys were all over me.) In an attempt to arrive fashionably late, we got there forty-five minutes after the doors were supposed to open, and were not only the first ones there but had to wait five minutes for the organizers to let us in. The DJ was really good and it was not excessively crowded. We stayed for about three hours and I danced like a maniac. My body has been in a state of disarray since.

Saturday night, I stayed in, caught up with some friends online, and did a lot of work. (The due dates of my first written assignments of the semester both landed on the same Monday.) Since I haven't been too stressed so far this semester, I managed to finish them both early Sunday evening and also finished my third of four paintings that need to be done by Thursday. Huzzah productivity!

I worked in the dining hall this weekend, which was quite pleasant, as usual. The people who work there are really entertaining.

And that's all for now. Another week ahead. Birthday shout-out to my favorite sister.
