Sunday, February 10

Yesterday was the first day I could fully appreciate my new living situation. In the morning, Hillary and I got up and decided we didn't want to leave the room for breakfast. She had some Reeses Puffs and I used our new water boiler to make myself some miso soup. After doing work for the whole morning, we walked downtown in a beautiful snowfall to buy art supplies and light bulbs for our new lamp. Since it was so nice out, we decided not to wait for the bus and walked back to campus. The light made our room a lot less depressing and is a nice addition to our residential life.

In the evening, Pat came over and we went to the roof of the Tang where I quickly made a snowman. It was the best packing snow I've ever encountered. We went back to the room and had a really pleasant, low-key evening. Having tea and good lighting makes our room a great place to stay.

I took some pictures of the snow today on my way to check on the snowman, which was reduced to a pile of snow. They are posted here.
