Today, in English class, we presented poems that we wrote for analyzation and sharing. I got mine overwith fairly successfully, considering I wrote the analysis the night before in an almost comotose state in which I could not differenciate a coherent sentence from one that made as much sense as wrapping a ribbon around a turd. Overall, the presentations and poems were good, but this one girl wrote a one and a half pages of two-lined, rhyming stanzas about, as the title implies, why "Tokyo is Great!!" Here's a little sample:

"Kimono is the traditional attire
That is something that I admire."

"Shibuya is really neat
109 is quite a treat."

"When eating noodles, it's polite to slurp
But you're crossing the line if you burp."

.. brought to a painfully terrible ending following the catchy and irritating pattern:

"If you're looking for a place to go
Your search is over. Come to Tokyo!"

*blammo*

I guess I was wrong when I thought that private schools are soley for intellectual work-a-holics. :P

As for other school related things, I'm totally behind in Spanish III because I had a shitty teacher last year. I have to stay after school next Tuesday to review imperfect and preterite tense. By then, I have to memorize the conjugations of all of the irregular present tense verbs. Weeee! In English class, Mrs. Gotterson said penalize again. Diego and I get increasingly more hysterical each time she says it (a.k.a. at least once a week). Why she uses the silly word so often is beyond me, but it's the only reason I really look forward to that class.

Every year, highschoolers at ASIJ are required to take a trip for JUMP (Japan Understanding and Motivational Project, a shitty name, obviously used only for the acronym). There are twenty-one choices and, as anyone reading this knows, I suck at making executive decisions. I've been to almost all of the places that don't require air travel so I don't want to participate in them, but the other ones are Hokkaido (skiing and snowboarding; this one is automatically eliminated) and then one to Okinawa for paragliding, ocean dipping, ice cream making, and fun! It's the most expensive trip (but not too bad, considering that air-fare is included), but also, we were considering going there this winter if my grandparents get better. Hopefully I'll figure something out eventually. If I don't, I'll end up going to Anime at ASIJ, the cheapest trip, coming in at whopping ¥4,000.

I went to Shibuya with Mia after school today where I saw a girl wearing a shirt that said "I like hysteric fuck". The most random thing about it was that the word "fuck" was formatted like the Ford logo. Another shirt said "I Kill Dogs". Jamie is right. "Tokyo is Great!!" We ate a banana and chocolate crepe and played the Taiko game at an arcade. It is fun, but too tedious to explain. I'll just put up a picture of a black woman posing with the machine.

My grandpa has come home, not because he's exceptionally well but because the hospital can't do much more for him. He's regaining his voice and eating quite a lot in comparison to before. I haven't seen my grandma for a week, but last time I did, she was walking with a cane. Old people can be pretty impressive.

The dog has been sent to training school. We are spared of his whining, walks, barking, and random pissing for four months! Ahhhh, this house is so serene....

Holy Mack the Knife, I'm so glad it's the weekend. FINALLY. The week itself goes pretty quickly, but by the end, I'm just so drained. This morning, I literally looked like a heroin addict, just because of the huge, black bags around my eyes.

HELLO LATER THAN 6:20 MORNINGS!

Oh, yes. I almost forgot! Next week we only have three days of school!! To the gods of teacher meeting days, we salute you.
\m/ >.< \m/

Later, my fine feathered friends. Miss you all!
