I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that I just watched Dead Poet's Society (twice), but I've been thinking along the lines of "carpe diem" recently.
The professions that I hold the most interest in are independent jobs which wouldn't require me to continue with standard schooling, but persue arts or design academies. If I couldn't get a job like that, I would be just as happy at McDonalds as I would persuing a degree-requiring cubicle job. Do I drop out of school or finish college and think about it then?
There are a lot of choices that I'm thinking about that could make or break huge chunks of the future. It's very strange... We better fire Mr. Keating a second time!!
After thinking about this, I stumbled, totally by chance, on to Gwen Stephanie's new single, What You Waiting For. Very appropriate, and it talks about Harajuku girls, which is what I would be if I associated myself with a district of Tokyo...
Well, on to lighter matters, I also managed to stumble across the "Dirrty" equivalent of Britney Spears' career, Toxic (mp3 file on other end of link) and I've found myself totally addicted to it. There's something about the video too (found here) that is truley facinating. And guess what? Britney is apparently already thinking of starting a family with her dancing hubby! Exciting stuff going on in the world of entertainment.
With the taste of your lips I'm on a ride. You're toxic, I'm slippin' under. With the taste of a toxic paradise, I'm addicted to you. Don't you know that you're toxic?
Right, someone get me a mental doctor. It's a clear sign that I've finally crossed the line of insanity.
P.S. Because they rock so hard (and I haven't really been listening to anything else), The Hives get album of the month for both October and November. If you haven't heard the album, I highly suggest you check it out. The two singles off of Tyrannosaurus Hives are available for listening here. Prepare for Hivesenation.
