Sunday, May 30

Last night, my mom, Miwa-san, and I went to Millheim to see the Nightcrawlers at the Equinox Cafe. I slept, open mouthed, the entire way there.

When we parked, my mom got out and said, in Japanese, "What a cute fire hydrant. How do you say fire hydrant in English again?" I respond, "Fire hydrant. Hmmm... maybe we should move the car."

We went in and got some yummy food. It was about 6:00 and the set was meant to start at 7:00. My mom got tofu and chick pea curry, i got a mandarin salad, and Miwa-san got a "Big Easy" sanwich, all of which was delightfully yummy.

The band didn't start until 7:30-ish, but Anja, Theresa, and a few members of the Byrne family showed up. We all socialized until the music started. It was an excellent set as usual. About half way through, Keeley, Anja, Theresa, and I got up to dance. It was warm and crowded, with all the old hippies dancing as well. After the show, I stayed with Anja and T-rez for a bit to help clean up. We drove home and then I went to bed. Fun, fun.

Oh, yeah. Carol asked if Wo Ist Di Botkamer can play at Keeley's birthday party. Everyone other than Maggie was present, and we decided it would be excellently fun. Horray for impromptu gigs!

Done.
