All of this was in preparation for the recital I had to play at last
night. After sitting through two and a half hours of little kids
playing Lightly Row, I was a bit shaken up. In fact, I could go as
far as saying that I was nervous as fuck. (Damn hormones for making
me lose my nerve...) Surprisingly, I played the entire piece through
without any noticable screw-ups. After the performance, my piano
teachers said that it was the best I had ever performed the it and I
got quite a bit of positive feedback.
Mia and I took a final bow, changed our clothes, and rushed to the
Crowbar to see The Nightcrawlers, the excellently excellent band
that Aeb plays flute and keyboard in. The opening band was North,
which consisted almost completely of people that Mia and I know who go to the high school. The Nightcrawlers were absolutely amazing. Whoever plans on spending Memorial Day in Boalsburg should go to Boal Mansion's concert at 3:00 pm, because they will be playing. There are a few shows before that, but that is the most likely that everyone could get to.
I want one of these now...
I need to get a job...
