Fortunately for Mia's (and my own) sake, debate is now over and therefore, there will be no more posts about it.

However, that leaves me with school to talk about. Yes, I lead a sad and boring student life. No incentive to kindle my social life, seeing as I don't manage to get enough time to myself based on my ridiculous standards of "alone time".

The end of the quarter has passed and our progress reports will be out on the ninth. Already, I know that this will be one of the worst quarters as far as grades go. The trouble is, I will end up blaming it on debate and my lack of self control and responsibility will continue on into the year.

Eleventh grade is a toughie, and I've got an easy load compared to most. How is it that someone can take two AP science classes and accelerated math and still have time to go clubbing in Roppongi... not that I aspire to do that, BUT! It's still ridiculous.

Ummm... what else to talk about...

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but every year, the library withdraws a few carts full of books to give away for free in the lobby. This year, I have returned home with...

- Russian for Beginners (1962)
- AIDS: Trading Fears for Facts (UPDATED EDITION 1989)
- Taoism: The Quest for Immortality (1979)
- Nemesis by Isaac Asimov (book on tape as read by Peter MacNicol, 1990)
- The Lollipop Princess: A Play for Paper Dolls in One Act (1967)
- Bjorn Borg (More than 60 photographs! 1979)
- Opposing Viewpoints: Euthanasia (1989)
- Coriolanus (1956)
- Suzanne White's Book of Chinese Chance: The Thousand-Year-Old Secret! The Oriental Zodiac Can Tell You About Yourself and Your Future (1976)
- The Art of Chinese Poetry (1962)
- True Great Mysteries (1980)
- Choice Centered Tarot (just noticed that it's a SIGNED COPY!! 1981)
- How to Shoot Your Kids [On Home Video] (1988)
- The Heroin Solution: The story of the world's most feared drug- with a persuasive plan for how we can live with it sensibly (1982)
- An Illustrated History of Flight vol. 3 (1963)
- Plays and Creative Ways with Children (Illustrated! 1961)
- Taking the Wheel (1978)
- These States United: RandMcNally Atlas of American History (1985)

I have filled an entire shelf of stuff that will probably end up collecting dust for a long time, but how can you resist free stuff?!

That's right. You can't.

Paris looks a right mess. I just heard about the riots, but how long have they been going on?
