But first, check out this excellent episode of The Show.
Excellent.
This weekend was quite nice. On Saturday, my classmate from Japan, Jeannie, brought her friend from Portland directly to my door from the airport. We had lunch at a burger shop down the street and then got on a bus to Berkeley. After taking some historically significant photographs, we headed to Telegraph Ave., the main artery of Berkeley. I learned that I don't like Berkeley much but also that Amoeba records kicks ass. It's a Californian franchise that has massive amounts of used stuff. I bought Human Nature and Moulin Rogue on DVD for about twelve dollars en total. After walking for a while, we decided to head back, stopped into an asian food store (that was a rip off only because it overcharged and didn't have price tags), hopped on the bus and spent some time socializing in my dorm room. It was quite fun. Photographs! Out of order!
Another movie night went underway at sundown, only this time, instead of classic movies, it was SLASHER FILMS!!! GAAAAAHHH!!!! But first we watched The Craft, which wasn't scary so much as it was really bad and stupid. They watched the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre afterwards but I wimped out and stayed down with my lounge buddies instead. Eventually, it was Nick, Alex and I that were up watching disgusting animated internet movies and doing nothing in particular until five in the morning.
I had signed up for a field trip the following morning but since my roommate was away, I had no alarm clock. I woke up, looked at my watch and realized that it was ten thirty. Seeing as the busses were supposed to leave at ten, I freaked out. I managed to prepare haphazardly in about twenty seconds and rushed downstairs, only to find that people were still waiting. Fortunately, the busses had been mistakenly ordered for eleven. We went to Muir Woods national park and some strange hippy art establishment. The former was much more interesting than the latter. It was not the most impressive field trip.
Ummm soooo... for Sunday night, the R.A.s had organized a Food of All Regions dinner. Since the food was free, my home-people and I got in line about an hour early, which, with a slight delay, ended up being two hours too early. But we were part of the first rush in and boy was it worth the wait. Tonight, they're having a comfort food night for just our floor. I love the R.A.s. They make our lives so wonderful.
I can't think of anything else worth mention that has happened. I hope to buy a yo-yo within the next week and perhaps go and see Clerks 2 with some people on my birthday. Huzzah!
